The New Guard: Teen Arts Leadership Society
About this Cause
The New Guard: Teen Arts Leadership Society is formally an arts leadership training program, but really this group is the heart and soul of TeenTix. New Guardians play a central role in guiding the development of TeenTix programs and events, identify organizational values and serve as the primary teen ambassadors for TeenTix while learning about all aspects of arts administration and leadership. The 2017/18 New Guard consists of 45 teens representing 28 high schools and 28 zip codes around Seattle. Please join us in supporting young art leaders! Demand for the program keeps growing—that’s why we are asking for your help. Please help us raise $8,500 to invest in 45 young leaders from all over Western Washington. New Guardians meet twice a month to strategize peer arts engagement, assist partner organizations in their efforts to reach more youth, and plan special events, like the Teeny Awards, which celebrate youth power and the arts. New Guard members also get to meet arts leaders at TeenTix’s 75 arts partner organizations, who engage with them as valued advisors and offer insight into career paths in the arts that teens rarely get to see.
